One of your friends proudly told you the good news: "My baby can read!" You were shocked. Her baby is only one and a half year old. Yours is two, but he cannot read yet. What is with her baby, you ask.
You are wrong with your question. You should ask this: What is with her? Yes, the mental development of your child, which includes the ability to read, relies on the mother. To be able to accurately say "My baby can read", it is your duty as a mom to teach your baby to read. The child will not learn all by himself or herself.
Hearing your friend say "My baby can read" may be hurtful, though you do not want to feel it. But, instead of sulking, start learning how to teach your baby to read because it is not too late. With your baby's age (2), you still have three more years to hone his ability to read.
Yes, the mental development of your child is essential from birth to five years. It may be a long journey for you, but later on you will realize that it is worth it. You are not just teaching your child how to read. You are also achieving your goal of raising an excellent child. More importantly, you are preparing a better future for your baby.
To begin your journey before "My baby can read", purchase materials that you will need, like baby books, flash cards and CDs or DVDs. These will help you teach your baby to read. Also, allot an 'official' time for your reading.
Do not get frustrated if he is not following your reading session at the start. It is just normal. In his age, you should not expect to capture his attention immediately. It is your duty as a mom to make and keep him interested in your study. To do this, let your creative juices out, do some eye-catching twists to your study program and in no time, you will hear him read letters and words.
If you wish your child to learn how to read fast, check out the My Baby Can Read program available today. It has received good reviews from parents. In fact, these My Baby Can Read reviews stand as evidences toward a realized goal. Earlier than you expected, you are shouting "My baby can read" to the world.
