Get your Baby Back to Sleep

There are some facts that mothers tend to forget about baby's sleeping. As a proof, her little angel is fast asleep on the baby boy bedding but on his tummy! Your baby might be comfortable sleeping on his stomach. However, danger lies ahead if you can't get your baby on his back as he sleeps.

The Danger

There is nothing scarier than Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Paranoid mothers are only right to keep vigilant on this silent killer. It is the worst of all traitors. Sleeping on the tummy side can greatly increase the risk of having a dead child the next morning. It may seem too dramatic but it's real.

The best medical explanation for this phenomenon primarily rests on improper oxygenation and temperature. The baby needs to be positioned well so that the mouth and nose will not be blocked. Thus, he can breathe fresh air and does not overheat. If the situation is otherwise than this, then the condition for SIDS to occur is perfect.

With this danger in mind, it is important to lay babies on their back every time he sleeps at his baby boy bedding.  Sleeping time includes bed time and nap time.

Common Excuses

The first excuse would be the choking hazard. There are times that the baby will "spit up" or drool while sleeping. However, studies show that babies sleeping on their backs are not at risk for choking.

The second excuse would be baby's comfort. While it is true that babies do sleep more soundly on their tummies, it is still necessary to lay him on his back to sleep in his baby boy bedding. They will eventually adjust to sleep on their backs if mothers will faithfully place their babies on their backs EVERY sleep time.

Conclusion:

It might be pretty convenient to let babies sleep on their tummies. It is logic. If they sleep soundly, then they will sleep longer. It would follow that there will be more time for mommy's recreation and house chores.

However, it is a mother's instinct to love their children.  They will sacrifice even their own convenience to ensure the safety of their baby even while sleeping on that expensive baby boy bedding. The only thing you need to ask yourself is: "Are you a full-pledge mother or are you just another biological female parent?"
